Clients purchase credits to engage Experts on Dexter for an interview or survey project. Most interview calls require 1 credit, although the specific credit amount is listed on each Expert’s profile. For survey projects, 1 credit is used for 3 respondents. Dexter will automatically deduct credits from your balance as your team uses them.
Please email help@dexterexperts.com and indicate how many credits you’d like to purchase.
Click the “Create New Project” button from your Dashboard or the “Projects” link in the top nav bar. Follow the prompts to provide the necessary details about your project, including the Project Description and any Qualification Questions.
Yes, you can include up to a total of 10 Qualification Questions. These screeners can be yes/no knockout questions, where a “no” response will automatically disqualify the Expert from your project. You can also create questions which have multiple choice, select-all-that-apply, or short answers.
Dexter’s platform only allows Experts to select a time slot based on your availability. Before you send out any invites, navigate to the “My Availability” link in the upper-right corner. There you’ll confirm your timezone, link your calendar, and set your daily time blocks (e.g., if you don’t want to conduct interviews after 3:00pm on Fridays or before 10:00am on Mondays).
Navigate to your Project page and click “Edit” under Project Owners. Then select the individuals to be added to the project. If you need to add more user accounts to your team, please email us at help@dexterexperts.com.
For each project, you can select whether AT LEAST ONE project team member must be available or if ALL team members must be available. If you require all team members to be available for each interview, Dexter will only display time slots to Experts that work for everyone on your team.
All Dexter calls are hosted by Dexter’s Zoom account. The Zoom link and dial-in information will be emailed to you once an Expert schedules a time. This information is also available in your Dexter Project dashboard.
From the project page, click the “Manage Experts” link. Next to each upcoming Expert call is an option to “Reschedule Interview.” A notification will be sent to the Expert, prompting them to select a new time slot. As a courtesy, please try to avoid rescheduling less than 24 hours before your call.
Dexter does not share the Client’s company or interviewer name with the Experts. It’s up to you to decide how much information to disclose, either in the Project Description or during the call. If you wish to keep the interviews single-blinded, remember to mask your identity in Zoom (e.g., change your display name to your initials).
Yes, all Dexter calls are recorded by default. If a particular Expert does not want to be recorded, you’ll be sent an email notification before the call so you can choose to cancel the call if you’d like. After each call, a link to the recording and transcript will be available from the “Manage Experts” tab.
Yes, we encourage your team to rate the experience after each interview. Ratings and reviews are only shared among your team, and they can help your team know which individuals might be able to provide valuable insights for your future projects.
If this is your first time setting up a survey project in Dexter, we’ll help you set up a Dexter-hosted Qualtrics account for you. We’ll send you a userID and a temporary password. Then you can use this free account to build your survey for distribution in Dexter. Once you’ve finished building your survey in Qualtrics, create a new project in Dexter and select “Online Survey” as the project type. Enter the necessary details about the project, including the title, description, and target N. The target N is important because your survey will automatically close upon reaching the target N. You will be notified via email once your target N is reached.
The Dexter-hosted Qualtrics account we set up for you is completely free of charge. Once we’ve created the account, we will send you the login information. You are welcome to update the password after logging in.
Don't worry. Dexter will not let experts schedule a call if you're out of credits. It also accounts for reserved meetings to ensure you aren't booked beyond your available credits. However, in rare cases—such as two invitees scheduling at the same time before the system updates to hold the credit—you can always return to the dashboard and cancel a meeting.
No, your ratings and reviews are only visible to your internal team. The ratings are also a great resource to help you identify experts for your future projects.
